Lara Bay is composed of two beaches - the south and north. Turtle nesting season is from June till September, and the anchorage is forbidden at this time in this area.
The cost between Cape Arnauti ana Lara Bay, 9 miles southward, is high, cliffy and precipitous.
For a distance of 5 miles from Cape, it is skirted by ledges of sandstone rocks nearly awash. The bottom in this vicinity is rocky and uneven. Lara point projects 0,5 miles from the coastline, and its western side is cliffy.
Boat occasionally shelter on its northern and southern sides.
Look for the signs to Lara Restaurant at the adjacent Lara Bay, where you can have a drink or snack on the vast terrace overlooking the bay.
Note that the beach has been a protected area since 1971 and no sun loungers are permitted. Likewise, private vehicles are banned from coming to the beach during the egg-laying season.
